Fondae – Terms of Use
Last Updated: 1 month ago
Fondae connects creators ("Project Owners") with supporters ("Backers") to fund creative, social, and entrepreneurial projects. What sets Fondae apart is that all Project Owners must offer at least one reward involving an in-person experience, such as a workshop, dinner, meetup, or event.
Fondae acts solely as a platform provider. We do not manage, produce, or fulfill any projects or events.
To use Fondae, you must:
Be at least 18 years old or have legal parental/guardian consent.
Be capable of entering into binding contracts.
Provide accurate and complete registration information.
Comply with all local laws and regulations.
You are responsible for:
Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
All activity that occurs under your account.
Immediately notifying us of unauthorized access or security breaches.
As a Project Owner, you agree to:
Provide accurate and truthful descriptions of your project and rewards.
Offer at least one in-person event-based reward to Backers.
Clearly disclose the date, location, and nature of the in-person reward.
Deliver all promised rewards or provide a good-faith alternative or refund.
Bear full responsibility for the planning, execution, and safety of in-person events.
Comply with all applicable health, safety, and venue regulations.
Fondae may remove any project that appears misleading, unsafe, or otherwise violates these Terms.
As a Backer, you acknowledge that:
Pledging funds does not guarantee delivery of rewards.
You are not purchasing a product or ticket, but supporting a creator’s vision.
In-person events carry inherent risks (e.g. travel, illness, venue issues), and participation is voluntary.
Fondae is not responsible for the quality, logistics, cancellation, or safety of in-person events or other rewards.
Fondae charges a [insert %] platform fee from successfully funded projects.
Payment processing is handled by third parties (e.g., Stripe, PayPal), who may charge additional fees.
All pledges are final and non-refundable unless the Project Owner chooses to issue a refund.
By backing a project or attending a reward-based event, you agree to:
Accept all risks related to travel, attendance, and participation.
Waive any claims against Fondae for injuries, damages, or losses incurred.
Follow any guidelines or safety requirements issued by the Project Owner or venue.
Fondae encourages Project Owners to carry insurance for events where appropriate.
Fondae does not offer or manage refunds. Disputes regarding reward delivery or event issues must be resolved directly between Project Owners and Backers.
Repeated abuse of chargeback mechanisms may result in account suspension.
Project Owners retain full ownership of their content.
By submitting content to Fondae, you grant us a limited license to display and promote your project on and off the platform.
Users must not upload or share content they don’t own or have rights to use.
You may not use Fondae to:
Create or fund illegal, misleading, dangerous, or abusive projects.
Violate any laws, including health or public safety regulations for in-person events.
Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
Use bots, scrapers, or unauthorized automation.
Fondae may suspend or terminate your account without notice if:
You breach these Terms or applicable laws.
You engage in fraud, harassment, or unsafe conduct.
Your project receives credible complaints or legal notices.
Suspended funds may be withheld for investigation.
Fondae is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
Project funding or success.
Delivery or quality of rewards.
Availability or safety of in-person events.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fondae is not liable for:
Any direct or indirect damages arising from your use of the platform.
Any injury, loss, or harm associated with an in-person reward event.
Creator or backer behavior, fraud, or negligence.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fondae, its affiliates, and its employees from any claims or disputes arising from your use of the platform, your project, or your attendance at an in-person event.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Insert State/Country]. Any legal action must be filed in the courts of [Insert Jurisdiction].
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Fondae was built to empower ambitious creatives, entrepreneurs, and changemakers. Our platform exists to give these individuals and teams a space to share their vision and seek support from those who believe in what they're building.
While we’re honored to host these campaigns, it’s important to clarify what our role is — and what it isn’t.
A Platform, Not a Project Owner
Fondae provides the tools and infrastructure to help project owners share their ideas and receive donations. However, Fondae is not involved in the creation, execution, or delivery of any project. Each project is the sole responsibility of its creator.
No Guarantee of Completion or Rewards
We know most creators on Fondae are deeply committed to following through on their plans, but life and projects are unpredictable. We cannot and do not guarantee that every project will be completed, or that any promised rewards will be delivered. Supporting a project is an act of trust and generosity, not a purchase or contract.
Donations Are Voluntary
When you choose to support a project, you’re making a voluntary donation to a person or team you believe in. Any understanding or expectations beyond that — including communication, updates, or rewards — are between you and the project creator. Fondae is not responsible for managing or enforcing those expectations.
No Liability
Fondae cannot be held liable for any outcomes related to a campaign — including delays, failure to deliver rewards, or how funds are ultimately used. We do our best to ensure a safe and respectful environment, but the relationship is ultimately between donors and creators.
Encouraging Good Faith
Most people on Fondae are trying to do something meaningful — and they take the support they receive seriously. We ask everyone to participate in this community with mutual respect, good faith, and understanding.
